Food safety | Free State struck by food poisoning cases

BLOEMFONTEIN – The Free Sate seems to be the latest province to be struck by food poisoning cases.
Dozens of learners are being treated for suspected food poisoning.

Over 40 pupils from Ihobe Primary School in Mangaung were hospitalised on Thursday after allegedly consuming items bought from local spaza shops and vendors.
Mangaung mayor Gregory Nthathisi says stores and distributors need to be held accountable.
